phpFox2 RC6 Released

We are pleased to announce that phpFox2 RC 6 (Release Candidate 6) has been released for public testing.

RC6 introduces mainly fixes in preparation for the stable release.

phpFox2 RC6 can be downloaded direct from the clients area. When you have selected a license and reached the download page look for “phpFox2 RC6″ to download the product.

is demo rc5 or rc6? as the welcome message is stating that its rc5 and there is no version visable on the site

Question? I am running the phpfox and the link looks like this
http://www.mydomain.com/lgspace/username

How do I make this look short like http://www.mydomain.com/mike

I notice on the write blog you can create category but there now option to delete any created list.

Yes it can be.. you can do it urself in admin panel from language pack…however there will be a diffrent block for People You May Know currently under processing…

I notice the RC6 is a unsupported version by support at phpfox.
This mean not to upgrade your real site yet. Until a stable version is release to avoid bugs.

Your doing a great job phpfox team. will you have a advertising system for members or business who would like to advertise?

r6 is supported… because they have delay 2 months extra for the final… so they decided to suport that version to make it better with known problems…

I notice everyone is using ads size 250 by 960 on the top and I would like to do the same like Yahoo, myspace, facebook and others

How can you add a block for me to add a flash this size?
this would be very cool

Is it posible to have a counter Mail(2) or Mail (5)
this way we can know how many mail we have waiting to be read. This is a must cause I recieve to emails saying I got mail from x person but when I login it does not show count of mail

This would be nice to have. Hope you think so too.

This is not a feature… its more like a task that phpfox developer forgot to add it or they added but not working at the moment….

you wont have problem with updates… you can start you cosmetic change such as template of the site…

but you will be better off waiting 1 more month…

at my knowledge there is still 25% more less bugs or method not properly implanted….
